As per the Casey Anthony case:
People who kill other people aren't on the same page as most other citizens, so why do we think the death penalty will be a deterrent for them? Do you think they actually say to themselves, "I'm thinking about murdering someone, but that darned death penalty is standing in my way."
Kill people who kill people, what whacky logic. It is beating up your child for beating up another child or cheating on your spouse because they cheated on you. It's an immature response by vengeant people. When have two wrongs ever equalled a right?
